INTRO TO the WORLD OF SEQUEL

Pieces of the next dimension are constantly bubbling in and out of ours. On July 16, 1945 at 5:29am, humans detonated the first nuclear weapon ever and reversed the flow. Czarg, a space weather scientist, in this next closest dimension to Earth, lost his family who were traveling through space at the time. He traced similar storms here, learned to communicate with us, and said that if he can get here he could find his wife and children. He asked for help and sent plans for technology so that he could travel here. The UN kept the existence of intelligent alien life secret, and voted not to help Czarg, but were swayed by concerted lobbying from the great industrial houses that control so much of history, to use his tech for the benefit of humanity and developed GEMtronics. Machines that create power by moving gravity through sequences of atoms. To work, GEMtronics need single-use codes, issued by the Quantum Bank, on Quantum Marks, also known simply as Q. Q are like bitcoin for energy and replaced money. When a hack was discovered to recharge Q, by re-introducing uncertainty via play, underground gaming to reset Q exploded. Just before her wedding, Dann, a cartel leaders daughter was killed trading Q. In order to avoid serious violence the major trading cartels agreed to enforce one set of rules to reset Q through play. These are the rules of SeQuEl. Playing SeQuel to repower Q took on great new importance when the origin of GEMtronics, along with the blueprints that Czarg sent us, leaked. Analysts showed how sequences of 118Q, called Quays, could bring Czarg here, or energize a shield to stop him.
